Sand & sage is special because it is a brand that provides unique, quality items for today's women in South Africa. The brand values uniqueness, authenticity, being ethical with an aim to promote self-love and body positivity. The business is operated with ethical and sustainable processes in mind. This is achieved by ensuring all items are hand made locally with love. The best part is that all designs are well thought out with a focus on quality and fit . Each item is designed by women for women with an aim to encourage all women to embrace themselves as they are.

I am Ashley Ellis, the owner , designer and so much more behind the scenes of Sand & Sage - For such a long time I have wanted to create a brand of my own. Starting my own brand is the reason why I studied Fashion Design in the first place. After graduating with a Diploma in Fashion Design from Cape Town College of Fashion design in 2014 my first step was to gain experience within the fashion industry. With 5 years of experience within the Fashion industry I now feel confident in fulfilling my dream to start my own brand. My dream has always been to create a unique and sustainable brand. My aim is to create products that are sourced and made locally and as ethically as possible. To ensure all designs are unique, all fabrics are hand selected and are used in small batch runs only.
